OFFENDED BY GOD’S WORD

Greetings Bros. & Sisters in Christ!

Lately I’ve been engaged in conversations, with family, friends, fellow Believers as well as non-Believers, in which some have become offended.

My intentions are not to offend or hurt anyone as I spread the message of the Cross or defend the Word of God; Jesus himself said “Offenses will come, and woe unto him through whom they come”….in other words if your motives are to hurt or offend….you’re in trouble because God knows the motives of our hearts!

However, looking in the Old Testament we find in Jeremiah the following:

Jeremiah 6:10:  To whom can I speak and give warning? Who will listen to me? Their ears are closed^[a]so they cannot hear.  The word of the Lord is offensive to them; they find no pleasure in it.

Many are offended because they refuse to acknowledge the Truth of God’s Word.  We are warned throughout the old and new testaments of the rejection of God and His Word; you cannot separate the two because God is His Word! John 1:1 – In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God!

The enemy has so confused the minds of people in this world, that they can no longer distinguish evil from good; it’s a world of “NO ABSOLUTES, ANYTHING GOES, DO WHATEVER PLEASES YOU!”,  so when Believers come speaking the Word of God, which is the ABSOLUTE TRUTH and does not change, then offense comes to those who are perishing; and trust when I say, many “Believers” are perishing.

Please believe, I have been where many of you are!  I remember clearly when I knew nothing of God’s Word and was offended when anyone spoke biblically about fornication, drunkeness, lying, cheating, etc. because these are the things I did and saw no wrong in them and I loved the pleasures of the world!  I remember clearly after being saved and baptized in 1997 how I began to grow in the Word of God to the point where I then became a judgmental Christian, a super saint if you will and I’m positive that I offended many.

Years later after going through the refining fire and being stripped by God, I finally began to see everything and everyone differently, seeing them as God sees them; no longer judging, but loving them with the love of Yeshua/Jesus Christ!  The intents and purposes of my heart were no longer for my own self-interest but to glorify God only in all that I think and do and say.

When I speak against abortion, fornication/homosexuality, same-sex marriage and drunkenness among other things; it’s not to tear anyone down and it’s not because I’m homophobic, I’m absolutely not homophobic….but I speak out of a heart full of love and sincerely want everyone to turn away from sin and the ways of the world and follow Yeshua/Jesus Christ, so that you may enter the Kingdom of God and have Eternal life there.

If anyone reading this post has been offended by me for any reason other than speaking the Word of God in Spirit and in Truth, please forgive me; I realize that sometimes me and other Believers who desire to defend God’s Word or want only for the Word of God to grab you out of darkness, can sometimes seem harsh and judgmental, I assure you that is not the case.

To my brothers and sister in Christ who have become comfortable with the sin and ways of this world, so much so that even you are offended by God’s Word….repent and ask God to illuminate His Word and reveal His Truth so that you may walk as He commands us…IN SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH….and not walk in darkness!

1 Peter 2:9 – However, you are chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, people who belong to God. You were chosen to tell about the excellent qualities of God, who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.

FUNDRAISER CAMPAIGN #2

If you follow my posts then you may have already seen my recent I’LL FOLLOW JESUS MOVEMENT campaign that ended on March 20, 2015.  I’m sorry to report that I did not reach my funding goal of selling 50 t-shirts or hoodies and so none of the folks that did make a purchase will get their t-shirt (they won’t be charged either).

The way this fundraiser works is that you set a goal of how many shirts you want to sell (my goal was 50) and if you meet or exceed your goal then the shirts are printed and shipped to the donors and I receive the money that was donated.  If you don’t make your goal the orders are not filled and no one is charged….and I get no donations.

I’m hoping that explaining the process will let you see the importance of helping me reach my goal.

SHOULDN’T WE BE APPALLED?

Definition of appall: To fill with horror and amazement; dismay greatly.

Also note the synonyms of appall/appalling:
abhorrent, abominable, offensive, awful, disgusting, distasteful, dreadful, evil, foul, fulsome, gross, hideous, horrendous, horrible, horrid, loathsome, nasty, nauseating, nauseous, noisome, noxious, obnoxious, obscene, odious, rancid, repellent (also repellant), repugnant, repulsive, revolting, scandalous, shocking, sickening, ugly

I present to you some of the things in this world that fit into these definitions and why many of us need to examine or re-examine our spiritual condition.

1) Pets are no longer considered pets but family members; they now have equal rights with humans; in fact, animals have more rights to life than humans, and many are protected species. Billions of dollars are spent on non-essential products for animals, while hunger and homelessness abound. SHOULDN’T WE BE APPALLED?

2) Abortion is now an acceptable form of contraception; Pro-choice is a death sentence and, correct me if I’m wrong, has taken more lives than the Holocaust. Why isn’t there a law to protect the lives of unborn children….if there were such a law, then perhaps men and women would take better steps toward preventing unwanted pregnancy….better yet, stop having unmarried sex. SHOULDN’T WE BE APPALLED?

3) Today’s entertainment glorifies all that dishonors God….pornography, fornication, drug and alcohol abuse, violence and murder, lust & greed, child abuse…. the list goes on; TV, film and the music industry promotes whores and whoremongers of every kind; by the way….whoremonger is someone who “peddles” whores….like pimps; which is what most of the entertainment industry is. SHOULDN’T WE BE APPALLED?

4) Followers of Jesus Christ are being persecuted and killed in numerous countries around the world; The church in America is under consistent sustained attack in an attempt to destroy our beliefs, values and the moral fabric of our society. SHOULDN’T WE BE APPALLED?

These are just a few examples of what we all face every moment of every day and sadly, many of God’s own children have grown accustomed to and comfortable with these things. It seems as though we’re overwhelmed to the point of helplessness!

We say Christ abides in us and we abide in Him; we say that power and authority was given us to overcome the world and cast out demons; we say that we walk and live in the Spirit of God! Yet so many of my dear brothers & sisters in Christ stand idly by shaking their heads and bemoaning the things going on around them, and never taking an authoritative stance against any of it; just “waiting for Jesus to come rapture them away”.

But the truth is, many of us have our favorite shows don’t we?….mine were “The Voice” and “Project Runway” which may seem pretty tame, yet everything about the shows I watched and you watch are against God.

Even the news reporting is filled with stories and reports that regularly attack God, Jesus and Christian values while promoting sympathy and acceptance for every vile and evil thought and action; examples: Beyonce, Miley Cyrus, Madonna, Nikki Minaj, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Marilyn Manson, Elton John, Bill Cosby!

SHOULDN’T WE BE APPALLED? Could it be that we’re not appalled because we’re not righteous?

Yes, I know that most, if not all of us pray for the world yet we see very little of our prayers answered….why? I think the answer lies in James 5:16 Therefore, openly acknowledge your sins to one another, and pray for each other, so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.

Proverbs 15:29 NLT
The LORD is far from the wicked, but he hears the prayers of the righteous.
Could it be that our prayers aren’t heard because we aren’t righteous? Surely we have moments of righteousness because we’ve all seen God answer some of our prayers and petitions; but do we eagerly seek after righteousness daily?

You can’t love the things of the world and God….there’s no middle ground…..you must choose.

Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

My brothers and sisters we cannot allow ourselves to be lulled into silent acceptance of worldly wickedness. As Paul waited in Athens for Silas and Timothy (Acts 17:16-17), the text says: his spirit within him was disturbed at the sight of the city full of idols. 17 So he began holding discussions in the synagogue with the Jews and the “God-fearers,” and in the market square every day with the people who happened to be there.
We, like Paul, must be disturbed (appalled) because we are surrounded by idolatry and rebellion (which is as the sin of witchcraft) to the point of taking action. Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, live in the Spirit of God and use the authority given us by the Lord Yeshua/Jesus Christ to overcome the world.

BE APPALLED AND FIGHT: Ephesians 6:10-12 10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places

THOUGHTS REGARDING BILL COSBY SCANDAL (REVISED)

If any of those women accepted payment from Bill Cosby or kept silent so as not to hurt their careers then they have received their vindication.

NEITHER MONEY NOR FAME COULD KEEP ME FROM TAKING ACTION AGAINST ANYONE WHO WOULD DO WHAT WAS DONE TO THESE WOMEN!

But we should look at the facts as they really are! We live in a fallen world inhabited by fallen people living in gross darkness.

Isaiah 60:2 (JUB)
2 For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the peoples: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.

I have lost respect for Bill Cosby because I believe that at least some of the accusations are true. I feel the same way about men like Morgan Freeman and Woody Allen who got romantically/sexually involved with their adopted daughters….yet, the public outcry has been minimal.

So far as their reputations go….the world has always allowed people to achieve great fame and fortune, then tear them down….so this is nothing new.

I don’t know Bill Cosby’s spiritual condition, or what is his relationship with the Lord Yeshua/Jesus, but I do know that God is his only help whether he is guilty or innocent….so he needs to cry out to God!

Hillary Clinton stood by Bill Clinton, Senator Edwards wife stood by him, so if Camille stands by her man, so be it. Bill needs to apologize publicly to any of these women who he hurt, but then that would be saying I’m guilty… heaven forbid that such a “National Treasure” should admit guilt.

We haven’t learned yet, not to put people on pedestals have we?

Scripture teaches this: Psalm 118:8-9 (NKJV)
8 It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.
9 It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in princes.

I won’t judge any of these folks, I’ll leave that to God; however, we who are God’s children must pray for this world full of unbelievers and backsliders to come into the saving knowledge of Yeshua/Jesus Christ and receive salvation.

SHOULD CHRISTIANS CELEBRATE HALLOWEEN?

SORRY TO RAIN ON YOUR PARADES GUYS, BUT HALLOWEEN GRIEVES MY SPIRIT AND I CAN’T STAND BY AND WATCH MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS IN CHRIST FALL INTO THIS TRAP. SO MANY PEOPLE WONDER WHY THEIR CHILDREN ARE OUT OF CONTROL…..IT’S BECAUSE THEY ARE ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS UNGODLY CELEBRATION, AND IT IS UNGODLY NO MATTER HOW INNOCENT IT SEEMS.

I AGREE WITH THE FOLLOWING ARTICLE…..I THINK WE ARE MAKING A BIG MISTAKE BY CELEBRATING HALLOWEEN.

An old proverb says, “When you sup with the devil, use a long spoon.” Presumably, NO genuine Christian would want to sup with the devil at all and yet many may be doing so in ignorance.

As a former witch high priest now saved by Jesus, I was astonished by how many Christians let their kids celebrate Halloween. Some churches even sponsor “haunted houses” and similar events on what is the Number One satanic “helliday” of the year. Halloween used to be called Samhain, and is still celebrated as an ancient pagan festival of the dead by witches all over the world. Unfortunately, just giving the date a “holy” name like All Hallows’ Eve or All Saints’ Eve cannot change its grisly character. Halloween is an occasion when the ancient gods (actually demons) are worshiped with human sacrifice. The apostle Paul warns us: “But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils” (1 Cor. 10:20).

If you are a Christian parent, God has given you a precious responsibility in your children. Remember, their ability to resist spiritual wickedness is much less than yours. If you allow your children to participate in Halloween (Trick or Treating, costume parties, etc.) you are allowing them to play on “the devil’s turf,” and Satan will definitely press his home court advantage. You are opening up doorways into their young lives for evil by bringing them into a kind of “fellowship” with these ancient “gods.”

We are commanded not to become involved with the unfruitful works of darkness (Eph. 5:11). Both from my experience as a witch, and since getting saved, as a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ, I have seen far too many examples of how breaking this command works out in lives. Remember, while we have God’s promise of protection for ourselves and our children, that promise may not hold if we allow our children to celebrate this dark holiday. Case after case has come to us of children in rebellion. In many of these families, the problem can be traced back to the children being exposed to Halloween at a young age. It is hard enough to raise children these days in a Godly way without exposing them to Satan’s realm.

His book will help you avoid or escape occult involvement and lead others out of similar bondage.

SO, the question is, “What SHOULD Christian parents do?” The first tendency is to take a defensive action, and have some sort of party to occupy our Christian kids during that night, hoping that they will be satisfied “missing” what their friends are doing. But that’s only going half way. Remember, when Jesus talked to Peter about His church, he promised that “the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” (Mt 16:18) That indicates we are supposed to be taking “offensive” action, seizing the initiative and attacking Satan’s kingdom.

How about teaching our children that Halloween is special all right. It’s that one time of the year that we can put the Gospel right into the hands of all the children (and their parents) in our neighborhood that we never got to witness to. It’s a night we can DO something to please the Lord while helping our neighbors, too! We can let our kids help hand out the candy and tracts. They’ll look forward to it.
