The world really downplays the importance of the role fathers play in the lives of their children; and we wonder why so many father’s have abandoned their place in the family dynamic.

I gave Father’s Day sermon 2 years ago in which I quoted from the late Art Katz the following statement: “The reason there are so many derelict fathers is because there is no understanding of God as Father” I’m paraphrasing but I thought that was such a profound statement.

I applaud fathers who are actively involved in their children’s lives, but I give a standing ovation to godly father’s who seek to know God in Heaven as father and model that relationship for their families.

  3. Thanks so much Minister Glenda. “God the Father, the first Person of the Trinity, is the father and creator of all. Jesus, his only Son, showed us a new, intimate way of relating to him. When we see God as our heavenly Father, provider and protector, it puts our life in a whole new perspective. Every human father is also a son of this Most High God, the constant source of strength, wisdom, and hope”.
