SO PRESIDENT OBAMA LET YOU DOWN

President Obama has let down a lot of people who trusted him not to yield to political pressure and support gay marriage; especially the African-American community who have been so proud to have this black man who represents the hopes of desires of our people as well as a nation of supporters.

President Obama professes himself to be Christian and I believe him; he is like many or even most of the modern, liberal Christians that are lukewarm in their understanding and commitment to God’s Word/Jesus Christ and to his commands.

He and so many of my brothers and sisters in the Body of Christ have given themselves over to a world view rather than a kingdom mindset. There spirituality is shallow and just below the outward surface is pride, doubt, unbelief, greed, self-reliance and the list goes on.

Don’t pretend that you don’t put your confidence in man’s abilities….you do it each and every time you vote for anyone who you think can advance your own agenda. You see the truth is….you really don’t believe God can or will “give you the desires of your heart”. You don’t really believe who and what the Word of God says you are and you really are not keen to submit yourself totally to the Will of God.

President Obama, Vice-President Biden and most if not all of the politicians who claim to be Christians, do not walk in the power and authority of Jesus Christ. They bend to the will of the political machine and interest groups who supply the finance to keep them in the position of power that they long for.

If only, any of them had the courage to stand for the Truth and not be daunted by the powers of the world, powers of darkness and rulers of darkness in high places (remember this is a spiritual battle), they could see the Power of God working against all of the lies and unrighteous works of the Devil.

Problem is….most of our political leaders bend to the will of the world and forsake their God given place in Jesus Christ….they are afraid to surrender to God. There’s a song by William McDowell titled “I Give Myself Away” and one of the verses is especially power that says “my life is not my own, to you I belong….” If only we could ALL believe that. “God help my unbelief” should be on the lips of every Child of God.

Please hear me saints….God is real and He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him: Hebrews 11:6
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Abortion and Gay Marriage will destroy the very fabric of our Nation, our culture and our society. Don’t turn a blind eye to what is at work here….it is the Devil’s handi-work.

The Day of Our Lord’s Coming is fast approaching, we must build ourselves and each other up on our most holy Faith. I want to share two Scriptures with you that are most important for us to study so that we can understand the times and seasons that we are in:
Jude 1 (KJV)
1 Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to them that are sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ, and called:
2 Mercy unto you, and peace, and love, be multiplied.
3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.
4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.
5 I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not.
6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.
7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.
8 Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities.
9 Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.
10 But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves.
11 Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core.
12 These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;
13 Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever.
14 And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints,
15 To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.
16 These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men’s persons in admiration because of advantage.
17 But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;
18 How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.
19 These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.
20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,
21 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
22 And of some have compassion, making a difference:
23 And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.
24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,
25 To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.

REVELATION 22
1 Next the angel showed me the river of the water of life, sparkling like crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb. 2 Between the main street and the river was the Tree of Life producing twelve kinds of fruit, a different kind every month; and the leaves of the tree were for healing the nations – 3 no longer will there be any curses. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will worship him; 4 they will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. 5 Night will no longer exist, so they will need neither the light of a lamp nor the light of the sun, because ADONAI, God, will shine upon them. And they will reign as kings forever and ever. 6 Then he said to me, “These words are true and trustworthy: ADONAI, God of the spirits of the prophets, sent his angel to show his servants the things that must happen soon.” 7 “Look! I am coming very soon. Blessed is the person who obeys the words of the prophecy written in this book!” 8 Then I, Yochanan, the one hearing and seeing these things, when I heard and saw them, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel showing them to me. 9 But he said to me, “Don’t do that! I am only a fellow-servant with you and your brothers, the prophets and the people who obey the words in this book. Worship God!” 10 Then he said to me, “Don’t seal up the words of the prophecy in this book,g because the time of their fulfillment is near. 11 “Whoever keeps acting wickedly, let him go on acting wickedly; whoever is filthy, let him go on being made filthy. “Also, whoever is righteous, let him go on doing what is righteous; and whoever is holy, let him go on being made holy.” 12 “Pay attention!” [says Yeshua,] “I am coming soon, and my rewards are with me to give to each person according to what he has done. 13 I am the ‘A’ and the ‘Z,’ the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.” 14 How blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they have the right to eat from the Tree of Life and go through the gates into the city! 15 Outside are the homosexuals, those involved with the occult and with drugs, the sexually immoral, murderers, idol-worshippers, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood. 16 “I, Yeshua, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the Messianic communities. I am the Root and Offspring of David, the bright Morning Star. 17 The Spirit and the Bride say, ‘Come!’ Let anyone who hears say, ‘Come!’ And let anyone who is thirsty come – let anyone who wishes, take the water of life free of charge.” 18 I warn everyone hearing the words of the prophecy in this book that if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues written in this book. 19 And if anyone takes anything away from the words in the book of this prophecy, God will take away his share in the Tree of Life and the holy city, as described in this book. 20 “The one who is testifying to these things says, ‘Yes, I am coming soon!’” Amen! Come, Lord Yeshua! 21 May the grace of the Lord Yeshua be with all!

My dear brothers and sisters, God is not mocked and the Devil is a defeated foe….let’s walk in the power and authority of Jesus Christ and put our Trust in God….men will fail us, but God never fails.

Your Sister In Christ,
Minister Glenda Jackson

I’M EXPECTING MIRACLES

Well it’s been 3 years since I woke up from a dream and started writing songs and it’s been a very slow process getting (the few that are done) them recorded; and they aren’t even great recordings.
I’m holding onto my dream of becoming a songwriter (who sings) because God has given me this talent and I expect miracles will come out of it, if I am faithful.
I’m going into the studio in June to record the 2 songs on my video so you guys can hear how really awesome they are when properly recorded.
Well, I pray that all of my friends and fans are successful in all that they strive for…..have a wonderful day!

Check Out My New Video

To my dear blogger friends, please check out my newest video in which I’m singing two songs that I wrote: Please check out my latest YouTube video at this link: http://youtu.be/nyjwG4T3vh8

I’m really serious about developing my singer/songwriting career. If you like the songs “Out Of The Darkness Into His Marvelous Light” and “Lord I Surrender” please share them on your social networks.

WE ARE CALLED TO WATCH AND WARN

My Dear Brothers and Sisters:

We are as much to blame for the condition of the world as the powers of darkness are. I say this because we have not been dilligent in watching, discerning, praying and warning the world. JESUS IS COMING SOON…GET TO WORK!

Ezekiel 3:17-21
17Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me.
18When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.
19Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.
20Again, When a righteous man doth turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumbling-block before him, he shall die: because thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand.
21Nevertheless if thou warn the righteous man, that the righteous sin not, and he doth not sin, he shall surely live, because he is warned; also thou hast delivered thy soul.

FOLLOWERS OF CHRIST: READ THIS BEFORE CELEBRATING MARDI GRAS

The Word of God says: My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge

Mardi Gras
What is really behind its Mask?

The inspiration for this page came from a tract by Last Call Ministries 205 E. Kings Hwy, Shreveport, LA. 71104 or P.O. Box 4203, Shreveport, La 71134 Write them and ask for a copy. It is a very well done. Most of the tract is printed here with some different wording.

Mardi Gras! The word conjures up all sorts of images in the mind. We think of parades, floats, masquerades, balls, beads, doubloons, parties, king cake and revelry. New Orleans Promises it as “the greatest free show on earth”, and it is considered by most to be a time of good wholesome fun.

Pre- Christian Origin
Spring time pagan celebrations are the roots of the modern day Mardi Gras. Ancient Greek and Roman festivals involved sacrifice, drunkenness, lewdness, immoral sex and revelry. In the parade of the pagans, false gods are worshiped by exalting an image above the assembly. Pagan priests accompanied by the idol, shower the crowds with spring flowers, herbs, grain and coins. Both good fortunes, spells, and curses were shouted, including the calls to the idol god to grant favor and blessings.

On example of the gods is Pan. He is represented by a half animal, half man incarnation. He represents wanton lust and crudeness. In The Roman celebration “lupercalia” a fertility festival, the worship of Lupercus involved cross dressing and masquerading to promote sexual orgies. Today the celebration of Centaur exalts the same spirit of revelry and wanton abandonment, drunkenness, homosexuality, nudity and brawling all still exist today.

What was once deplored by the church is now accepted. A blend of pagan rites , animism and church religion exist today. In an attempt to convert the masses the church, the Catholic church, fixed the celebrated resurrection of Jesus (Easter) around the astrological event that “spring rites” celebrate. (the full moon of the spring equinox). The fixing of Easter allows the unscriptural religious celebration of Lent and ash Wednesday to follow Mardi Gras. Instead of resisting the ways of the pagans, The “church” absorbed many of these festivals in hopes that it would convert the pagans. What we have today is a churchy world and a worldly church!!! In French, Mardi Gras means Fat Tuesday. This is a day to gorge and over indulge oneself before the seasonal religious practice of fasting, abstinence and denial. It is not surprising that the symbol for Mardi Gras is the “Bouef Gras”…… The fatten bull

Idolatry
The bull is the old testament symbol of Baal. 1st Kings 12:28 —- 19:18 Exodus 32. Baal the bull is symbolic of strength and fertility. God condemns the production and worship of idols. Yet many in the church do just that, worship idols. Exodus 23:13 ” And in all things that I have said unto you be circumspect: and make no mention of the name of other gods, neither let it be heard out of thy mouth.” Steeped in Egyptian, Grecian, and Roman fertility rites. Half of the parades celebrate and honor false gods. The rest promote sex and drunkenness.

Exodus 34:13-17 But ye shall destroy their altars, break their images, and cut down their groves: For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God: Lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, and they go a whoring after their gods, and do sacrifice unto their gods, and one call thee, and thou eat of his sacrifice; And thou take of their daughters unto thy sons, and their daughters go a whoring after their gods, and make thy sons go a whoring after their gods. Thou shalt make thee no molten gods.
Can we claim his lordship and still be involved in this demonized activity? It is the same spirit that has contended against God for the souls of man since we were created. That same spirit, Satan, works to turn man away from Holy God, and towards these false gods.

1st Corinthians 10:14 Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.

John I 5:21 Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.

Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Scriptures that deal with these false gods:
Dianna Acts 19:24-29 Hermes and Zeus Acts 14:12 Aphrodite, Venus, Istar Judges 2:13 & 10:6

It is hypocritical to instruct Christ centered living to include pagan rituals. Christians who participate in Mardi Gras, fellowship with unbelievers and promote Godlessness, blessing every evil that opposes the Gospel of Jesus Christ!!! Humanism and universalism have a big time when Mardi Gras comes to town.

Corinthians II 6:16-18 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

Christians should have nothing to do with evil

Titus 1:16 They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate

John I 2:15-16 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

Ephesians 5:11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

WHO SMELLS BETTER TO GOD?

I want to first tell you a little bit about the church I attend. It is a small storefront building that has a stage and soundbooth and seating for about 100 people. So the space is pretty small and a bit dark, but it’s where we worship and we give praise to God for it.

It’s an old building that has housing upstairs where our pastors live. Older buildings have lot’s of problems and our building is no different, but God always makes a way for whatever repairs or upkeep that is needed, gets done.

The congregation is made up of many of the poorest families in our community, people who were formerly homeless, who’ve dealt with drug use, alcoholism, neglect and abuse. These members have overcome many adversities, through growing Faith in God and help from those in ministry leadership to encourage them.

Our praise and worship team is phenomenal in that they are able to produce an atmosphere of worship in which the Spirit of God can flow and His tangible presence is felt in the hearts of the men, women and children at our service. Hearts melt, strongholds are broken and people experience “God with us”!

This past Sunday, I was listening to the worship team and watching our members, who dance before the Lord each and every Sunday with total abandonment….it’s a beautiful thing, and on many occasions I too join in. This particular Sunday though, I sat out and observed and listened. Then, I began to smell an odor….which grew stronger and stronger as the people danced before the Lord.

I would like to say that this was a pleasant sweet smelling odor, but it was not; you see the reality is that many of people that come to our Sunday services, don’t have access to clean clothes, baths or showers….and they smell….really badly sometimes!

After I got home, I started thinking about the fact that even though many of the people at our service have nothing and have little opportunity to clean themselves up….they worship Lord God with total abandonment during our services and it’s a beautiful thing. I’ve been to many other traditional churches where the members are clean, and dressed well and aren’t down and out and I thought about how well organized their worship teams and choirs are, how their praise dancers are so well rehearsed and they’re all coordinated in their dress; they’ve just got it all together.

I thought, Lord there is such a huge difference in the conditions that our church and other churches operate under, but I have to say….these poor bedraggled people worship God with such abandonment and with their whole being they dance unashamedly before God with no formality just utter worship before their God.

I’m saying all this to make this point: I’ve often heard quoted during or after worship services….especially at traditional churches that I’ve gone to that….”our praise is a sweet smelling savor to the Lord”! And when you make the comparison, visually and intellectually, the difference is like night and day. These well dressed good smelling saints, who rock and sway to the sounds of their well organized, well coordinated choirs, worship teams and praise dancers….compared to the folks at our church who don’t smell so nice or don’t have clean clothes who come to us after having been drunk or drugged up all night….and some of them get inspired and drawn into the praise and worship!

SO WHO SMELLS BETTER TO GOD?

I ask this question because we have to change our perception of what and who is pleasing to God in our worship. God is not impressed with our dazzling outfits and displays of high-sounding worship….that is so orchestrated and rehearsed….and has not come from a sacrificial heart of worship. True worship of God is a sacrifice!

I was reading in the O.T. and found nearly 40 references to the sacrifices made by the high priests to God on behalf of the people and each reference states that these sacrifices were a soothing aroma to the Lord. So that should let us know that our sacrifice of praise is the soothing aroma that God looks for! You or I can’t put on enough fragrance to be a sweet smelling and soothing aroma to God….it comes from the sacrifices we are willing to give to Him.

And so I sat and I watched these precious people, dancing and worshipping before the Lord, with utter abandonment and I know that this must be a soothing aroma, a sweet fragrance to Our Lord….it is the aroma of Christ in us that soothes and pleases our God.

Numbers 15:3
GOD’S WORD Translation (GW)
3you may bring offerings by fire to the Lord. They may be burnt offerings or any other kind of sacrifice. They may be offered to fulfill a vow, as a freewill offering, or as one of your festival offerings. They may be cattle, sheep, or goats—offerings that are a soothing aroma to the Lord.

2 Corinthians 2:14-16
GOD’S WORD Translation (GW)
14But I thank God, who always leads us in victory because of Christ. Wherever we go, God uses us to make clear what it means to know Christ. It’s like a fragrance that fills the air. 15To God we are the aroma of Christ among those who are saved and among those who are dying. 16To some people we are a deadly fragrance, while to others we are a life-giving fragrance.

Prayer:
Father God, I pray in the name of your Precious Son Jesus Christ that a desire to worship you in Spirit and in Truth will over take us and we will offer a sacrifice of praise that is a sweet aroma to you. That our sacrifice of praise will come from deep within our hearts and that we will not ever think that anything that we contrive or rehearse or conjure up through our carnal nature is pleasing to you. I thank you for the precious saints in our church community and everywhere in the world who may have very little or nothing materially but have a deep desire to offer a sacrifice of praise to you Lord….In Yeshua/Jesus Name I pray….Amen!

ARE YOU CALLED BY GOD OR CALLED BY MEN TO THE PRIESTHOOD?

Have you noticed how many churches and ministries, Pastors, Ministers and Clergy in the Body of Christ are falling apart? This seems to be a growing phenomenon. All kinds of sin and unrighteousness are being uncovered…many times with devastating effects on the ministers involved and the church body.

All the more stunning is how eager the Believers in these churches are to get things resolved quickly and quietly (or swept under the rug), so that they can get back to business as usual.

Pastors and ministers are experiencing burn-out and discouragement at an alarming rate; and as a result many of them are “retiring” or just quitting the ministry. Where, in Scripture did any Fathers of the Faith retire? No, no….this is worldly wisdom. Sadly, the Church too often subscribes to worldly wisdom rather than seeking the counsel of God.
Why is there so much failure in the Modern Church? I believe the answer lies in the fact that many of those who are serving in 5-fold Ministry positions were called by men (maybe even their own selves), not God and others are acting out of their own vain imaginations. As a result, there is no true priestliness.

Don’t get me wrong, many of these men and women have taken on these positions with all sincerity and feel compelled to step into this position, but where is the wisdom in that?

This is very serious and we see the ultimate consequence of these actions in failed ministries and damaged people. I believe that most people who are compelled but not called do so out of a desire to serve God; I believe that they have gifts and talents (i.e. preaching, prophetic, administrative) that are essential to the proper operation of a church or ministry, but that doesn’t mean they are called to be a Pastor, Prophet, Apostle, Teacher or Evangelist.

There is a priestly requirement that every person called by God must meet. The only way to know what the requirement is and to know if you are truly called by God is to “come up” into God’s presence and be there as referenced in:
Exodus 24:12 And the LORD said unto Moses, Come up to me into the mount, and be there: and I will give thee tables of stone, and a law, and commandments which I have written;

Anyone who is called is subject to testing and being tried by fire, for God requires a stripping away of all that the world has instilled in us. It requires great sacrifice, prayer, communing and wrestling with God….that just doesn’t happen all that much anymore.

Whomever God calls….he prepares. I read an excerpt from a book “Apostolic Foundations” written by the late Art Katz. In the chapter on “Priestliness”, Art describes the preparation that Aaron and his sons went through to be made ready for priestly service in the Temple; God used Moses to prepare Aaron and his sons and God spoke every single detail to Moses….which is what God does. He leaves nothing undone.

Sadly, true Priestliness is not in abundance in the Church because too many priests are called by man and not by God. The evidence being this….whoever you spend the most time with, is who you will become like; Ministers of today spend more time communing with and serving their mentors than God….and that’s a fact.
Unfortunately, modern man has taken it upon himself (as usual); to “interpret” the mind of God even though the vast majority of them have never been in the presence of God.

I’ve had men and women of God, speak prophetically into my life on occasion and a couple have even spoken to me that I’m called to Pastoral ministry….but I know for myself that is not true; I know God would have revealed that to me. I will never allow men to call me into a ministry position….only God can do that….and He’ll let me know if that ever happens.

I pray that these words will reach men and women in ministry and they will be convicted to examine themselves to know if the call on their life is by man or God….He will show you!

FALL IN LOVE OR GROW IN LOVE?

I wonder where the expression “Falling in Love” comes from? It sounds romantic….I guess, but is it something we should strive for?
I got to wondering about this and began to search for biblical insight on “falling in love”….I found some interesting stuff. The following are a few Scriptures that reference “falling in love”:

Genesis 34:1-3 (CJB)
1One time Dinah the daughter of Le’ah, whom she had borne to Jacob, went out to visit the local girls; 2 and Sh’khem the son of Hamor the Hivi, the local ruler, saw her, grabbed her, raped her and humiliated her. 3 But actually he was strongly attracted to Dinah the daughter of Jacob; he fell in love with the girl and tried to win her affection.

Judges 16:1-5 (GW)
1 Samson went to Gaza. There he saw a prostitute and slept with her. 2 The people of Gaza were told, “Samson’s here!” So they surrounded the place and waited all night at the city gate to ambush him. They were quiet all night. They thought, “We’ll kill him at dawn.” 3 But Samson was in bed [with the prostitute] only until midnight. Then he got up, took hold of the doors, door posts, and bar of the city gate and pulled them out. He carried them on his shoulders to the top of the hill facing Hebron. 4 After [leaving Gaza], he fell in love with a woman in the Sorek Valley. Her name was Delilah. 5 The Philistine rulers came to her and said, “Trick him, and find out what makes him so strong. Find out how we can overpower him. We want to tie him up in order to torture him. Each of us will give you 1,100 pieces of silver.”

I Samuel 18:14-29 (GW)
14 He was successful in everything he undertook because the LORD was with him. 15 Saul noticed how very successful he was and became [even more] afraid of him. 16 Everyone in Israel and Judah loved David, because he led them in and out [of battle]. 17 Finally, Saul said to David, “Here is my oldest daughter Merab. I will give her to you as your wife if you prove yourself to be a warrior for me and fight the LORD’s battles.” (Saul thought, “I must not lay a hand on him. Let the Philistines do that.”) 18 “Who am I?” David asked Saul. “And how important are my relatives or my father’s family in Israel that I should be the king’s son-in-law?” 19 But when the time came to give Saul’s daughter Merab to David, she was married to Adriel from Meholah. 20 However, Saul’s daughter Michal fell in love with David. When Saul was told about it, the news pleased him. 21 Saul thought, “I’ll give her to David. She will trap him, and the Philistines will get him.” So he said to David a second time, “You will now be my son-in-law.” 22 Saul ordered his officers, “Talk to David in private. Tell him, ‘The king likes you, and all his officers are fond of you. Become the king’s son-in-law.’” 23 When Saul’s officers made it a point to say this, David asked, “Do you think it’s easy to become the king’s son-in-law? I am a poor and unimportant person.” 24 When the officers told Saul what David had said, 25 Saul replied, “Tell David, ‘The king doesn’t want any payment for the bride except 100 Philistine foreskins so that he can get revenge on his enemies.’” In this way Saul planned to have David fall into the hands of the Philistines. 26 When his officers told David this, David concluded that it was acceptable to become the king’s son-in-law. Before the time was up, 27 David and his men went out and struck down 200 Philistines. David brought the foreskins, and they counted them out for the king so that David could become the king’s son-in-law. Then Saul gave him his daughter Michal as his wife. 28 Saul realized that the LORD was with David and that his daughter Michal loved David. 29 Then Saul was even more afraid of David, and so Saul became David’s constant enemy for the rest of his life.

II Samuel 13:1-14 (GW)
1 After this, David’s son Amnon fell in love with Tamar, the beautiful sister of David’s son Absalom. 2 Amnon was so obsessed with his half sister Tamar that he made himself sick. It seemed impossible for him to be alone with her because she was a virgin. 3 Amnon had a friend by the name of Jonadab, a son of David’s brother Shimea. Jonadab was a very clever man. 4 He asked Amnon, “Why are you, the king’s son, so worn out morning after morning? Won’t you tell me?” “I’m in love with Absalom’s sister Tamar,” he answered. 5 Then Jonadab told him, “Lie down on your bed. Act sick, and when your father comes to see you, say to him, ‘Please let my sister Tamar come to feed me. She can prepare a meal in front of me as I watch her, and she can feed me.’” 6 So Amnon lay down and acted sick, and the king came to see him. Amnon asked the king, “Please let my sister Tamar come and make some bread in front of me, and she can feed me.” 7 David sent for Tamar at the palace. “Please go to your brother Amnon’s home,” he said, “and prepare some food for him.” 8 So Tamar went to her brother Amnon’s home. He was lying down. She took dough, kneaded it, made flat bread in front of him, and cooked it. 9 Then she took the pan and served him [the bread]. But he refused to eat. “Have everyone leave me,” he said. So everyone left him. 10 Amnon told Tamar, “Bring the food into the bedroom so that you can feed me.” Tamar took the bread she had prepared and brought it to her brother Amnon in the bedroom. 11 When she handed it to him to eat, he grabbed her and said, “Come to bed with me, Tamar!” 12 “No,” she told him, “don’t rape me! That shouldn’t be done in Israel. Don’t do this godless act! 13 Where could I go in my disgrace? And you will be considered one of the godless fools in Israel! Speak to the king. He won’t refuse your request to marry me.” 14 But Amnon wouldn’t listen to her. He grabbed his sister and raped her.

Ezekiel 23:7, 11-17 GW
7She became a prostitute for all the important men in Assyria. She dishonored herself with the idols of all those with whom she fell in love; 11 “Even though her younger sister Oholibah saw this, Oholibah lusted after men more than her sister did. Oholibah’s prostitution became worse than her sister’s prostitution. 16 She fell in love with them at first sight and sent messengers to them in Babylonia. 17 So these men came from Babylon, went to bed with her, and dishonored her with their lust. After they had dishonored her, she turned away from them in disgust.

2 Timothy 4:10 GW
Demas has abandoned me. He fell in love with this present world and went to the city of Thessalonica. Crescens went to the province of Galatia, and Titus went to the province of Dalmatia.

There’s not a whole lot of reference but what’s interesting is that each Scripture that speaks on the subject has to do with some form of lust, rape and deception.

Looking up the definition of the word ‘fall’ I found the following:

1. To be cast down
2. To undergo conquest or capture, especially as the result of an armed attack
3. To experience defeat or ruin:
4. To decline in value
5. To give in to temptation; sin.
a. Theology To lose primordial innocence and happiness. Used of humanity as a result of the Fall.
b. A moral lapse.
c. To lose one’s chastity.

So now, I’m beginning to see that through worldly wisdom and deceit, we have been sucked into the belief that falling in love is some sort of great virtue that we all must strive for. The whole world has been deceived by this seemingly noble quest. Everyone wants to “fall in love” and it has wreaked havoc on all of mankind….”falling into anything is rarely a good thing”.

I Wonder if this is the reason that everyone keeps falling in and out of love…..perhaps what we’ve really done is just fall; because most of what people are feeling is lust and emotions….not love at all.

True love grows. So why don’t we change our mindset and “grow in love” rather than ‘fall in love’?

grow v.
1. To increase in size by a natural process.
2. a. To expand; gain..
b. To increase in amount or degree; intensify.
3. To develop and reach maturity.
4. To be capable of growth; thrive.
5. To become attached by or as if by the process of growth.
6. To come into existence from a source; spring up: love that grew from friendship.
7. To come to be by a gradual process or by degrees; become:grow closer.
v.tr.
1. To cause to grow; raise.
2. To allow (something) to develop or increase by a natural process.
3. To cause to increase or expand by concerted effort.

Phrasal Verbs:
grow into
1. To develop or change so as to fit: He grew into the relationship slowly.

grow on/upon
1. To become gradually more evident to.
2. To become gradually more pleasurable or acceptable to.

So we see a distinct difference between falling in love and growing in love. I have often wondered why man is referred to as sheep….it’s because we like sheep are such followers….man has always been easily influenced by worldly wisdom, because instead of listening for the voice of God, they listen to the voice of the world.

• In Scripture we learn that the love God purposes for us is one that grows out of relationship….first with Him….then towards our fellow men:
• Romans 5:5 KJV
And hope maketh not ashamed ; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

In a previous message, I made the point that we don’t have love because we don’t have Truth. Seeking after God with all of our hearts is key to finding Truth and Love; we cannot have one without the other:
• 2 Thessalonians 2:10 KJV
And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish ; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved .
• 1 John 3:18 KJV
My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.
• 2 John 1:1 KJV
The elder unto the elect lady and her children, whom I love in the truth; and not I only, but also all they that have known the truth;
• 2 John 1:3 KJV
Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.

Most importantly, we have to change our mindset from earthly to heavenly, from worldly wisdom to Godly wisdom and we can’t sit back and listen to what others tell us….we must search the Scriptures and ask the Holy Spirit to teach us. To grow in (Truth and) Love is to have the life of God growing in us:

1 John 3:14
We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love other believers. The person who doesn’t grow in love remains in death.

I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to “fall in love” ever again. I will only seek to grow in love. What are your thoughts on this subject.
Shalom,
Minister Glenda

I WANT TO LIVE!

Today friends and fellow bloggers, I’m writing a very personal post because I’m trying to make sense of a serious situation that I’m facing.

In July, 2005, my mother was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer and within in 3 months she died. Before my mother’s bout with colon cancer, her sister (my aunt) had 2 bouts of colon cancer for which she had successful surgeries. Since then I have been dilligent in having a colonoscopy done every 2 years.

When I began having colonoscopy screenings in early 2006, I was employed and had health insurance. In June of 2008, I took early retirement from my job of 12 years because the job stress was seriously affecting my health. I’m diabetic and my health was going downhill fast so I took a leap of faith and left; but I was left with a no health insurance and $200/month pension….so I found a part-time job, making $10/hour which is barely a living wage, but at least I felt better and my health got a little better. A few months later, I was also accepted into the Community Healthcare Clinic (free clinic).

Through keeping up with my colonoscopy screenings, I’ve had a few polyps removed and so far none have been cancerous. In March of 2011, I had another screening and 1 polyp was removed, but another polyp was flat so the doctor was unable to remove it and recommended that I return in 6 months to have another screening to remove that polyp.

In September 2011, the free clinic attempted to schedule my colonoscopy screening with the doctor who discovered the flat polyp and was told that their medical group was no longer taking patients from the free clinic. Wow, that was devastating! So my clinic said not to worry, we will call around and find someone else in the area to do the screening. Well….1 month passed and I heard nothing (October)….2 months passed and I heard nothing (November); so I called my clinic and they informed me that they weren’t having any success, but were still trying to locate someone to do the screening.

Finally, in late December, the free clinic called and said they’d found a doctor who would do the screening and I was scheduled to go to their office on January 6, 2012 for an initial visit and to be scheduled for the actual procedure. To say the least, I was elated.

On about December 30th or 31st, I received a call from the free clinic telling me that my appointment had been cancelled because the doctor/medical group decided that they would no longer take free clinic patients. The free clinic has no power to appeal their decision because these doctors and medical groups provide services on a volunary basis.

So now it’s 4 months past the recommended date to redo the colonoscopy and nearly a year since the last procedure. I feel really sad in my heart, because this situation really opened my eyes to how devalued the poor and people without health insurance really are in this “GREAT” country.

I’ve worked and paid taxes for nearly 40 years; I raised my children with help from God and my mother because my husband died in 1997 but there was no social security to draw from…but I never had to ask for much help from anyone; and now when I need help, there is no one to help.

It just seems as though I was handed a death sentence, and the absurdity of it is the fact that colon cancer is one of the most treatable and curable cancers, and no one should have to die from it.

I would pay for the procedure but I live paycheck to paycheck and don’t have much left over after paying my basic expenses and my car payment.

I found out that the cost of the procedure for an uninsured person is from $2000 to over $3500; I’ve contacted a couple of organizations to try to get help but haven’t heard back from them in weeks; heck I’ve even entered the Ozzy Osbourne Colonoscopy Sweepstakes….I’m really desperate to have my screening done and get this polyp out of me.

I would try to do fundraising, but I’ve had such poor results in the past with fundraisers that I’m discouraged.

I was thinking about baking and selling poundcakes but my mixer broke over the Chrismas Holidays (as I was baking) so I have no mixer and it can get pretty expensive buying the ingredients for cake baking.

Does anyone have any ideas? Would anyone like to help me in any way? I’m only 58 years old….I don’t want to die! I WANT TO LIVE!

When Will You Apostles, Prophets and Pastors Tell The Truth?

Just because someone falls away from your church doesn’t mean that they have fallen away from the Faith. Pray that you are not pushing people away with messages, traditions and legalism that have no spiritual value and in fact place people in bondage.

I think that there is a misunderstanding of Scriptures that are tantamount to our eternal destiny. We cannot afford to be casual about the Truth of the coming events Church. For example 2 Thessalonians 2:3 speaks of apostasy/falling away (from the Faith) below are two translations of the same Scripture the first is from King James translation and the 2nd is from The Complete Jewish Bible (Hebrew) translation….

2 Thessalonians 2:3 KJV
3Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

2 Thessalonians 2:3 CJB
3Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way. For the Day will not come until after the Apostasy has come and the man who separates himself from Torah has been revealed, the one destined for doom.

Discern the times Pastors….now is the time for people to hear about God’s Eternal Purposes, now is the time for people to hear about God’s plan for the Church and Israel as they relate to His coming kingdom, (where is it expressly written that money, houses & cars, mega-church buildings & ministries help to build God’s Kingdom?), people need to know that God’s economy is completely different from today’s world economy and that ruling & reigning with Yeshua/Jesus Christ is the great reward that we should be aspiring to….not the “many mansion’s in our Father’s house or the streets of gold”!

When will you Apostles, Prophets and Pastors tell the Truth?
We live in a world that is dominated by Satan and his demons, powers & principalities and rulers of darkness, gross wickedness, sin and idolatry…..and unfortunately, the Church and Israel are full of Baal Worship…..when will you Apostles, Prophets and Pastors tell the Truth.
God created man to live in Truth….not lies and falsity (Psalm 51: 6Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom).

Apostles, Prophets, Pastors….examine yourselves, measure yourselves by the Word given in the Holy Scriptures of the Prophet Jeremiah:

Jeremiah 2:8
The priests said not, Where is the LORD? and they that handle the law knew me not: the pastors also transgressed against me, and the prophets prophesied by Baal, and walked after things that do not profit.
Jeremiah 10:21
For the pastors are become brutish, and have not sought the LORD: therefore they shall not prosper, and all their flocks shall be scattered.
Jeremiah 12:10
Many pastors have destroyed my vineyard, they have trodden my portion under foot, they have made my pleasant portion a desolate wilderness.
Jeremiah 22:22
The wind shall eat up all thy pastors, and thy lovers shall go into captivity: surely then shalt thou be ashamed and confounded for all thy wickedness.
Jeremiah 23:1
Woe be unto the pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture! saith the LORD.
Jeremiah 23:2
Therefore thus saith the LORD God of Israel against the pastors that feed my people; Ye have scattered my flock, and driven them away, and have not visited them: behold, I will visit upon you the evil of your doings, saith the LORD.

The household of God (that is all who are in Christ – Israel & the Church) is according to Ephesians 2:20 – built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;.

The world needs Truth and as the world grows darker….who will they turn to other than Israel and the Church as they become the “One New Man” that God has called us to be. In 1 Timothy 3:15 we are described as the Ground & Pillar of Truth! So if the Truth is not being preached IN IT’S ENTIRETY, don’t be surprised if people fall away from your church….it doesn’t necessarily mean they have fallen away from the Faith.
Once Truth is Preached….untruth, half truths, motivational messages can no longer be tolerated by our spirits.

APOSTLES, PROPHETS, PASTORS….WHEN WILL YOU TELL THE TRUTH!

Servant In Yeshua HaMashiach/Jesus Christ,
Minister Glenda Jackson
